Elite Tech Hub is a laptop shop in Edmonton, AB. We sell laptops, we buy them from people who are done with theirs, we take trade-ins, and we upgrade machines people already own. Orders go out across Canada.
Most of what we sell has had a previous owner, so the only thing worth telling you about a laptop is what we found when we had it open on the bench. That’s what the listings are for. This page is for the rest of it — who we are and how we work.
Four ways this usually goes
People come to us to buy, to sell, to trade, or to get more life out of the machine they’ve already got. Any of the four is a fine reason to call.
You’re buying a laptop
Gaming machines and used laptops are most of what we keep in stock. Each one is listed as the individual unit it is, with the configuration we recorded off that machine — not a spec sheet copied from the manufacturer’s page for the model.
You’re selling one
Tell us what you’ve got and we’ll make you an offer. A person reads every one of them — if something about a machine doesn’t add up, we’d rather ask you about it than quietly drop the number. Tell us about your laptop.
You’re trading up
Same idea as selling, except the value comes off the price of your next machine instead of coming back to you as cash. Handy when the old laptop is only in the way. Start a trade-in.
You just need more out of the one you have
More memory or a bigger, faster drive brings back a lot of laptops that feel finished. If that’s all yours needs, we’ll tell you so — even though it’s the smaller sale. Call with the model and we’ll talk through what it takes.
What happens before a laptop goes on the site
Every machine gets checked and written down before it’s listed. We record the processor, the graphics, how much memory is installed, the actual drive that’s in it, the display, and the operating system it ships with. We note the condition, whether the charger and the original box are with it, and the date we checked.
All of that goes on the product page, for that unit, with the date on it. If we sell you a laptop with 16 GB in it, it’s because we saw 16 GB in it — not because that’s how the model left the factory.
If something’s wrong with a machine, that goes on the page too. A scratch you find in the box after paying costs us far more than the sale we’d have lost by mentioning it.
On a listing you’ll find
- Processor, graphics, installed memory
- The storage drive that is actually fitted, by model
- Display size, resolution, panel and refresh rate
- The operating system as sold
- Condition, as we recorded it
- Whether the charger and original box are included
- The date we checked the machine
Where we haven’t got a fact on file for a machine, we leave the line off rather than fill it in with something that sounds about right.
